Honor Our Fallen 10k - A Run to Remember. This is an annual 10k charity run at Fort Ord Dunes State Park in Seaside, CA that needed a clean modern online presence to promote their cause.
My solution for them
I created a modern responsive website with a countdown clock counting down to the day of the race. I then connected the site to their exisiting Facebook page to increase social exposure.
Overview
The 3rd Annual Honor our Fallen 10k was established to honor the sacrifice of the sons of Monterey County who gave what Abraham Lincoln described as “the last full measure of devotion” in the recent wars in Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Central Coast Veterans Cemetery Foundation and the Veterans Transition Center, dedicated to honoring the memory of local veterans or assisting our young men and women returning from war.
Honor our Fallen 10k has been chosen by the California State Parks as the first organization to host a major event at the newly established Fort Ord Dunes State Park in Marina, CA. The course is a fast 10K loop course that rolls gently along the dunes of the Pacific with beautiful views of the Monterey Bay and the Monterey Peninsula.
